(DVD Label)TextWrap,Clipping Mask,Pen tool,Type, Place,Transparency.

Text Wrap
When designing my label I decided it would be a great feature to add a title that blended with the DVD shape because if the title was straight uncurved font this would look like a copy and paste job . To do this I used the text wrap option which allowed me to manipulate the shape and form of my font. The available options consisted of an arch shape ,flag shape, fish shape and default shape. the shape that I used was the arch shape, once I had selected this format I then placed it perfectly inside my DVD guide and saved my work.

The next feature that I  added to my title was a clipping mask. The reason I added the clipping mask was to carry the black hole poster theme through to my DVD label. To execute this feature I had to place a copy of my black hole background in my layers and then use the clipping option to clip the background into the font. This was a challenging task, so to help me perform this I used How-To-GEEK (http://www.howtogeek.com/57159/how-to-use-clipping-masks-in-photoshop/) that then gave me the valuable information I Needed

Pen Tool
The first idea I had when designing my logo was to have a shatterd effect Because I feel every project should be based on a theme and for this project my theme is distruction.so I decided to make my font out of shatterd glass. To acomplish this I first had to figure out a way to  convoy this effect. So I decided to use the pen tool , this tool allowed me to make shapes using a dotted mark ups.The shapes I then started to create where triangles, I then repeated this shape numerous times each triangle being a different size.

Place Image
The next step  was to visit google where I found an font editor that had a font type that had lines. That almost imitated the shatter effect that I was looking for.Once i was happy with my findings I then downloaded the image and uploaded it into my photoshop illustrator workspace.

Type Tool
When I finished uploading my Image into the photoshop illustrator, I then had to position the words into my artificial glass drawings. I was very happy with the final look. The only thing I was missing was a productions label at the bottom . I needed this to show customers the production company responsible for the content they where viewing. So to do this i used the type tool and used the arial font and the placed it under the shatterboxx in a smaller font.

Transparencies
Once my logo was complete I noticed the features in my image where too strong  .So to make my features weaker and more natural I used the transparencey /opacity tool.To do this I had to alter the opacity from hundred to forty. This then gave my image the natural look I was looking for before I chose the level, I  first experimented with the other levels and at the end I found forty to be the most natural for the image I had in place.
