(DVD Trailer)Settings,Importing,Effects,Titles.
Video Settings
The first step in making my video was to adjust the settings. I chose DV PAL widescreen because I felt this would
work well with my trailer. With the resolution at 720x576 this is what I needed to enhance my effects and actual video quality. The frame rate option was beneficial to my project because it gave me the option to choose the rate the frames would be produced. Allowing me to make a 2 minute video into one.

Import images and video
Befor I started my project I downloaded videos from YouTube using mozilla firefox. I then saved my videos in my project folder. The next step was to import them Into my Photoshop premier workspace. The reason why I downloaded from You Tube is because this was one of the only website that had most of all the components I needed such as music, movie clips and videos. When I finished downloading my media files from youtube I then used google and photoshop illustrator to find images. The first image I downloaded resided from google. This was a logo created by DVD Forum that is used to distinguish CD formats ,since I am creating a DVD trailer I needed to distinguish the format..The second import was a logo that I had created, which will be used in all aspects of my project. If you notice developers like Microsoft, EA and Lionsgate always place their company logos on they projects
WORDS ON VIDEO
One of the most important features of Trailer is the title, I wanted to incorporate a title in my actual video because I need to let my viewers acknowledge what they are watching. To execute this I accessed the title options, this allowed me to choose the font size and style I wanted for my trailer .When I was happy with the font I then right clicked the mouse on the image
this then gave me a vast amount of options. The option I needed was the positioning option this allowed me to move the
words from the back of the video to the front. Next I had to choose what time I wanted the title to appear on the video to do this I had to drag and drop the words into the section of the trailer that I wanted the title to appear in.
Clips and Effects
The first part of my video was the logos, these logos where screened in the first 20 seconds of the video. each time the logo was shown it would then fade to black and show the next logo the effect that I used for this was the transition effect.

The second part was the actual video from Armaggedon this video started with a fade to black effect and was finished with a distraught effect. it lasted for 20 seconds, the third clip added was introd by another transitions effect and then chopped up with effects consisting of the distraught effect, fade to black, and blinds the reason in why I added these effects was to make the video more professional and more meaningful having a clip just screen without blend would discredit the the movie
.To add these effects all I had to do was to enter the effects section where I was given a vast amount of effects. once I found the effects I needed all I had to do was to drag and drop the effect into the section of the video I wished the effect to be screened in. If the section of the video I wanted to manipulate was within a clip I then used the razor tool to chop the section I wanted in half to allow me to insert the effect I wanted.
The second source I used for clips came from the movie gravity in this clip you will see the astronaut spinning as if he is being sucked into a hole. this is one of the main reasons in why I chose this particular clip.Another reason for the use of this clip is that I wanted to keep the sci-fi theme within all my clips and I feel I did this effectively .
